FAA Announces Notice of Limited Waiver of Slot Usage Requirement for Summer 2023

The limited, conditional waiver of the minimum usage requirement applies to “slots” at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Carriers seeking to take advantage of this relief must respond before April 30, 2023.

Following the FAA’s Safety Summit last week the agency issued a safety alert with specific steps it wants airlines, pilots and others to take.
The FAA is urging the following actions:
